EXTERIOR HISTORIC RESTORATION THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS OPEN GATES CONFERENCE HALL "SEALY MANSION"
FACILITY CONSTRUCTION - Structure: Three (3) story structure with load bearing masonry and stone walls over a full basement. - Wall System: Cut limestone foundation and base, hand pressed brick, load bearing walls with terra cotta trim. The fenestration in the structure is wood sash. Roof System: Wood trusses, wood rafters, wood decking and clay tile with sheet copper flashings. CONSULTING SERVICES PROVIDED: - Evaluation and Assessment: Provided a report, restoration program, schedule and budgets. - Design: for historical restoration of exterior conditions. - Construction documents: specifications, plans, elevations and details were developed for the exterior and merged with structural and interior demolition documents to form the Bid package. - Meetings: submittal recommendations, project inspection, review payment requests, final inspection, review project close-out documents. Quality Assurance Inspection: Review and documentation of work in progress. SOLUTIONS: · Stone patching, stone consolidation.
